Surprised not to see any reviews of this party (unless I blatantly missed the thread).
My first time at the club, and I was well impressed. The sound certainly lived up to the hype: Crisp, clear, thumping, not too loud. It's definitely an after hours, the place didn't start kicking until around 0300 or so...Lighting and vibe in general was good. I definitely want to come here again. You really gotta watch the energy drinks, they can rot your gut after only a couple..at least that's me.
Pappa graced the decks and spun a long set of chunky prog with some breaks interspersed throughout the set.. I hear he was on till the end, I left by 6am. Mixing, track selection and overall set programming was amazing.
Great night altogether. Came with Diginut, saw Floorwhore, Hordash and Highroller and a couple others. I guess everyone else was still annhialated from last weekend (?) |

Got there at 1:30 and really enjoyed Jon Tremblay's debut "big dj" opening set. I had high hopes for Pappa after seeing him at KH and Red Square a while back but for the most part they weren't met. From 3:15 til almost 5 he did a repetitive, borderline sound that was too trancey to be prog and too proggy to be trance. Most of my friends left at this point but I was glad I stuck it out cause his last hour was exactly what I wanted - sweet prog, some slow breaks and a hint of tribal. Jerome Robins closed the night out from 6 and he was still going strong with the breaks when I left at 6:30.
Good to see/meet some of you again and hear how great (grrr!) Mtl was last weekend.

| Just got back from seeing Pappa in NYC. He played better the last time he was here. There weren't too many people at the club which was disappointing. |

| The DJ who closed was Jerome Robbins. He's also a co-founder of Release Records... |
