Wacky Hacky
Hello all you EDM fans!

Let me start off with giving some history about myself: I have been DJ-ing since 1996 (I was 14 at that time) and have always worked with 2 turntables and a mixer and later added 2 CD decks and one more turntable. I have the proper technique of beatmatching etc and am very good able to avoid trainwrecks by now :tongue2

Now, I have moved to another country last year and didn't take my equipment with me. And since I've signed up here a couple of weeks ago, it started itching again and on Wednesday I downloaded the demo of Traktor and gave it a test drive. I made my first recording yesterday and would like to show it to you all. It's not perfect, the beatmatching isn't entirely on par, but I didn have a good time.

I would like some feedback from you and maybe to learn some techniques regarding using Traktor, as it really feels so different to traditional DJ-ing. Beatmatching is far more difficult etc, so any advice would be appreciated. I also seem to have a slight noise that runs over the length of the track but it's only hearable during silent parts. It may have introduced itself during converting to MP3 (using LAME 3.96).

Now, without further ado, you can download the mix, tracklist and cue file here: http://vincentg.sytes.net/dj/
