I went to the driving range, today.

I spent the afternoon out at one of the local driving ranges with my dad, today. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Except for the fact that I got ahold of one with my 3W and sent it 285 yards out.
No lie. Four people other than my dad (including one of the clubhouse attendents) saw me do it. I followed it up with a 270 yard shot.
I had never hit anything over 220 before today. For anyone who plays golf, you probably realize how much of a fluke this was. |

With a bloody 3 wood too????
My best is 319 yards with my driver. That was with 40 knot winds on my back though. That doesnt count then.
But , a 3W. Good effort. |

just theses past few months i have learned how to correct all my shots, so i have been hittin much straighter, longger and overall just better. i went the the driving range about a week and a half ago lemme see if i can remember anything... welll with my drivers i was hitting a few REALLY nice ones just past the 250 yd mark, which to get past 150 yd used to be unheard off for me:D . i like using my irons so i tried a lot with them and i had some nice hits there to. i got about 175 - 200 with a 7 iron, and i was hitting about 200 or maybe a little more with my 3 and 4. i could get 150 - 175 with a 8 and 9...
now if only i was better at getting the ball IN the hole:( |

| i'm happy as hell when i don't clip the top of the ball and drive it into the ground. Some of my sweetest swings have come when i missed the ball completely, if i made contact i'm sure i would have drove it mucho yards. :toothless |

If that was as far as you had a hit a golf ball before that then you either
a) Don't know how to golf
b) Are weak. |

| i've only played golf once that wasn't on the put put course hahaha. anyway, i sucked, but i got ahold of this one really ing good and almost took this old dudes head off hahaha... |

| Yeh, my best was 265 with a driver.. when i was 14. :p Haven't been able to manage anything better since... but i don't really golf that much any more. |

My golf game sucks now. I can hit further than I used to, but I don't play enough to be consistently accurate.
I think the longest I've hit with the driver is between 300-330 yards, but I also live in Denver with the thin air. I have hit a couple of 3-woods off the fairway or rough in the vicinity of 300 too. I love that club. |

385 is my longest drive....went driver 8 iron on 565yd par 5....was about 15 mph on the tail.
I average about 285 off the tee...haven't played very much this summer...in fact it's the least I've played out of the 21 years I've played golf. :( Need new golfin' buddies... |

i hit one over 300 nearly every other time i play.. never gone over 350 though im sure of that. 280 with a 3w is a good shot. i hit those every once in a while, they feel nice huh? |
