Curiousity Shouldn't Kill

Call me an idealist, but someone should not be killed because of curiosity.
I am not accusing the USAF of harboring some sinister plan to slay innocent Iraqis but when a misunderstanding like this occurs:http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5949556/ I am just as horrified as when an innocent civilian is beheaded. Granted, one is an accident and the other a deliberate act of mortifying murder. The horror is balanced though by the sheer number of those killed in a helicopter missle attack. ~60-80 people killed. It's not right. Especially when the USAF could have taken 10 seconds to clear the area by leaflet/announcement/warning gunshots. I know the helicopter piolet didn't mean to kill those people but the fact is they died, by accident, and it could have been prevented.
Not to mention the political fallout... |

Saw the footage of the rocket attack on CNN earlier today where the journalist died. Not sure what they were meant to be aiming at because it didn't look as though the area was crawling with militants or anything. And yeah, what was the deal with just indiscriminantly into a crowd of people from the air? What exactly was the threat meant to be?
