For the must see factor, catch ESPN at some time this week, they will be showing it on repeat this week
Last Night
Texas vs. Oakland in the 9th Inning, Soriano hits the game tying HR to tie it at 5-5. So the next hitter is at the plate, Hank Blaylock and then the Texas Pitcher Doug Brocail runs out of the dugout because him and a fan had been screaming at each other for a few innings. So his entire team leaves the bench and bullpen, mostly yelling, I think a punch was thrown then all of the sudden Frank Francisco (remember that name people) throws a chair that were for Security to sit in the stands, he hit a woman and broke her nose. She filed charges with the Oakland Police, after the game, he was arrested and taken to the police station and booked on a charge of aggrevated assault. Francisco apparently threw two chairs in the stands. MLB is looking into it....
Sports crosses the line yet again. |

Just saw this on sportscenter
Heres a link to the story on ESPN.COM

Im looking for a video now.
As a sidenote, Id like to say I think its pitiful he was allowed to finish the game with the team. He shouldve been arrested on the spot, or at least in the dugout. Not allowed to sit for 3 or 4 innings, then escroted out via a private exit. This guy is gonna get a slap on the wrist fine....pitiful |

That's not a fair statement to make. Does one person represent all of sports? |

This is not a first tho, sports crosses the line again
Turns out that the chair bounced off the heckler's shoulder and broke his wife's nose. |

9th inning - baseball consists of 9 innings. one inning consists of three outs from each team. the 9th inning would be the last inning of the game unless the score in tied and then you keep going until the score is no longer tied at the end of the inning.
HR = home run = the batter hits the baseball beyond the boundaries of the field within the foul lines. this equals one run for every person on base.
dugout - its where the players that are not currently in the game sit and watch along with the manager.
inning - see above
leaves the bench and bullpen - this pretty much means that a fight or altercation was going on between the teams. i really can't think of another sport that this happens in.
i hope this helps out |

theres always some stupid going on in baseball with the fans. i remember a fight broke out at wrigley field because a fan stole the hat off one of the pitchers in the bullpen.
also, didnt something happen in the bullpen during the playoff series between the yanks and red sox? |

That's very unprofessional and amateurish to allow yourself to get riled up by a fan. Throwing a chair was just plain stupid... what if she lost an eye? Ugh.
Good thing I don't like or watch sports. :toothless |

It was 5-4 in the 9th inning, the pitcher gives up a homerun that ties the game at 5-5. As soon as the next batter walks to the plate, another pitcher, who was in the dugout I believe ran at the fan and his teammates joined him. Lots of foul words were exchanged, guy picks up the chair that the security guy sat on and hurled it at the heckler, it hit his shoulder and hit his wife in the face and broke her nose.
Pete Rose must be laughing somewhere, when he saw this happen. |
