I dislike making phone calls for some reason. If someone calls me, it's fine. *Once* I make a call, it's fine. People-to-people, it's fine.
I just don't like making that initial call. Weird. |

i never liked talking on the phone either, and i'm not the kinda guy that is using it all the time, but cellphones can be very useful in a lot of circustances.
is it just me, or north-american people have something against cellphones europeans don't have :conf: what you all describe as "rude", is pretty common sense around here.. |

| I'm the same about television as a lot of you are about phones. To watch television feels like punishment to me. I just can't stand it. There are like two shows that I enjoy... but other than that, I don't even see a use for a television. In fact, I'm going to buy a TV tuner card for my PC instead of a TV next year and save a load of money. |

| Phones are a part of our lives, But they can sometimes can be the leading cause of emotional pain, And I speak for everyone about this, We all hate when the phone rings durring dinner time, Only to find out its a telemarketer trying to sell you something, Which is why they have that do not call list, But whats even worst, Is when you have creditors calling your house over debt that you owe on credit cards, This is the kind of thing why we need answering machines or caller ID. |

My landline (home phone) has actually been DISCONNECTED for about 6 months - 1 year. Haven't missed a thing. Besides, the only ppl calling me were telemarketers anyway. Anybody I know calls me on my cell. And I never pick up calls on my cel if I don't recognize the number...
I think the next place I move to, I probably won't even bother getting the phone hooked up. |
