12 Monkeys, awsome film, beware of watching while high, you may be a bit confused at the end!
Ghost in the Shell(anime), kinda along the lines of the Matrix, man and machine mixing.
Princess Mononoke(anime), really teaches you a lot about the reckless behaviour of humans.
both those anime's have been dubed in english, with some famous hollywood actors lending their voices;) |

having just watched Donnie Darko 3 days ago I think its the most thought provoking movie (or "ed up") out there so far just shading, Memento, Requiem and Lost Highway.
oh and if tv series were allowed here Twin Peaks would get my vote |
