starts today ! the 94's original is probably my fav. animation. everything about it was dope.. which heavily influenced the matrix as well.. written and directed by Mamoru Oshii and based on the original comic by Masamune Shirow. check it out !:p

| i consider animation same as movies.. movies arent real is it ? its make believe, actors and made up settings... so what makes animation differnt ? because its not humans acting ? if it represents its purpose, i dont really think it matters what format is being used to represent it. its all metaphors, up to you if you can figure it out.. yeah i watch cartoons.. early looney tunes from the 50's 60's, simpsons, southpark and family guy are among my favs.. whole lot better than all the reality shows that stink up the tv screen. |

but neways yeahh i agree with u tae...and hey the plots are sometimes MORE interesting than a lot of the movies out there...it takes even more creativity to make an anime flick/series i think... |

Calling Animes cartoon is very disrepectful.There are different on styles of art. Trust me if you watch Ghost In The Shell 1 you'll will enjoy this movie.;) |

| by his standards anything that doesn't involve actual human beings is a cartoon, unless it involves animals or something. |

this movie will fail for so many reasons
1. there's no Major Kusanagi (hopefully we'll see her in some sort of spiritual form
2. this film will not set any new precedent above and beyond what the first movie did
3. all the hype surrounding it will just dissapoint
.....
...
but that being said, i'm excited to watch this. i read some of the reviews on it on rottentomatoes where it was bashed b/c of it's philosphophy heavy discussion. but i just want to see the continuation of one of the most influential animes of all time.. who hasn't been awed with the original? i heard this second movie has alot of eye candy
