Why the X-Box ing Rules: Modding!
For $50 bucks you can get a mod chip, and for another $60 you can get a very nice 80gb hard drive to go in it.
We modded my friend's X-Box with a 120gb HD. He now has on it all 3800-ish SNES roms ever released into the web, including all 738 SNES games ever released in the U.S., right there on his X-Box, that he can play at any time instantly. He also has several hundred arcade games on it as well, and several hundred Genesis roms. I can't begin to tell you how awesome it is, to just fire up your X-Box and have thousands of classic old school games right there, waiting to be played. You can't possibly sit here and deny how awesome that is.
Not only that, he can rent any X-Box game and rip it to his HD, and it will be his forever. He can do the same with DVD movies (not that you may be so inclined as to do so, but it's certainly possible).
So, I think that modability alone makes the X-Box a good system. Despite that, Halo, Ninja Gaiden, and Fable are all fantastic games anyways. |

| not to mention xbox also has the best online capability out of all 3 systems as well. it definitely does not "suck" |

XBox has a hard-drive built in, better online capability, better graphics, better pad (even if you're ten and can't fit your undeveloped hands round the big pad, the Controller-S shuts you up)...
Also the games. Publishers do multi-format releases on all big games, so the XBox gets all the brand games the other consoles do- in a superior version... plus the XBox gets ported PC games such as Deus Ex 2, KOTOR and Doom 3 which other consoles can't handle. Finally, XBox owners get Halo 2 and get to play it online. Suck on that. |

"System A is better than System B...but System C is the best...bla bla bla. This one is too big, so it sucks...I hate kidz games so this one sucks."
Every system has its pluses and minuses  shut the up |

I previously owned an xbox and a ps2. I sold my ps2. Xbox is better in many ways, #1 reason.. HALO.
Saying Halo2 is overhyped or calling Halo a mediocre game is absurd. It sounds to me like you haven't even played it. If you have, you are the first person I have heard of that calls it mediocre.
Xbox has some fantastic games, and this is coming from someone who owned all 3 systems at once and has an 9 year background in pc gaming, not to mention a lifetime background in consoles :P.
I agree also that the system debate is old and tired. Ps2 is a good system, but I sold it because I wanted the money to buy my Xbox games amoung other things :P. |

xbox is a lot better...i got all the consoles
some sick xbox games(exclusive)...
ninja gaiden
chronicles of riddick
fable
doom 3(when it comes out)
and live kicks ass too
the fact that people make "xbox sux0r" threads a LOT more often than ps2 bashing threads show which console is better :toothless |

i used to realy hat the x-box, but i have found that there are some cool titles exclusively for it, and so i tolerate it
i honestly find that biggest diffirence between the consoles isn't because of the hardware package, it's the games
i guess you could say it's not the hardware, but what you do with it but counts
and sorry for the horrible joke
i think the kind of rpg's is ps2, mainly because of the final fantasy series... but hey
the x-box seems to have a lot more sports offering than any other console out there (not that the other don't have any) and also features a lot of action games
the gamecube does seem to be aimed at a younger audience but does sport some realy cool more adult oreinted games like eternal darkness
however, i will never give up my pc as i find that a mouse and the keyboard is the only way to rule an army (ugh... try either dune 2 for sega genesis, c&c for n64, or starcraft for n64 and you will see my reasoning for this) and i do slightly prefer my mouse over the analog sticks on the consoles controls when it comes to busting caps in virtual asses
so realy, all have their merit... it just depends on waht you prefer |

For PS2 you can get this software called "HD Loader", purchase a 40-160gb HD (almost any IDE133 HD works) and the network adapter then you can load 95% of the games for PS2 onto the hard drive.
HD Loader = $30
Hard Drive= $40-100
Network Adapter = $30
Go rent a game, copy it over to the HD and now you own it. :D Easiest mod I've done yet and it paid itself off in two games. |

| Halo 2 is only hyped soo much because Halo was such a awesome game. Its just like when a new producer releases his/her first tune and its absolutly awesome, everyone will be hyping and getting excited about the second tune even before its out |

mmm...
Halo kicked ass.
Riddick kicked ass.
Knights of the Old republic kicked ass.
Morrowind kicked ass.
Ninja Gaiden kicked ass.
Invisble war kinda kicked ass...
Sands of time kicked ass, and more so than on other systems.
Beyond good and evil kicked ass, and more so than on other systems.
Timesplitter 2 kicked ass, and more so than on other systems.
Soul Caliber 2 kicked ass, and more so than on other systems.
Doom III and fable are meh, but from what I've seen halo 2 deserves all the hype its getting. |
