don't be a hater...picotto is da man...i'm yet to see him though and i don't know when i will because my gf and most my friends aren't into techno...i can usually only get them to come for a trance or house dj...still pumped to see armin on october 10th!
i still remember it was so wierd when picotto converted styles and no one would except him as a techno dj always saying he doesn't make techno music or play it, and i was thinking, well if thats not techno (referring to stuff like awesome!!! and bangkok) then what the hell is...but i think its safe to call him a techno dj nowadays without even those most ignorant ta's saying otherwise. |

He's not purely techno. I never in my life expect to hear anything by Jeff Mills, UR, Rolando, etc in a Picotto set. A lot of the tracks he plays falls into hard trance.
Even he says he doesnt label himself as a techno DJ. |

He's one of those guys that just has his OWN sound. Which i respect. He started out really more on the trance side, but over the past couple years his love for techno has taken over. Trance, techno, its too tough to tell most of the time - its just PICOTTO. You can hear the Sven influence in his sound as well, both play a lot of the same tracks these days.
