LOL Goodness, what did this thread turn into? Honestly, you guys should go see whoever you wanna see, and whatever makes you happy. We all have different taste in music. I wasn't trying to offend any Ferry lovers, but I was just giving u guys a valid and honest opinion about him. And when Dave T kept talking about Mauro, saying he is boring (in other words, that I have boring taste), I got annoyed. :rolleyes:
I still CAN'T WAIT to see Mauro, and dance my ass off like a CRAZY ing maniac!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :crazy: :eyespop: ;) |

As far as Mauro is concerned, I really think he is hit or miss a lot of the times. Having observed 1st-hand his N. American career from the beginning (& some across the pond too), the last few times I've seen him leave something to be desired. Altho he did redeem himself his last visit a few months back in terms of dropping some amazing tracks, I really find that he's focused more on getting wasted during his performances, and it shows. Yes, he can play some good tunes, but he can make some major trainwrecks. Technically, there are far better techno dj's out there. Mauro's just the most 'mainstream', so he reaches the masses. No matter what, they'll go crazy for him. I've seen it firsthand from sets I find boring and technically crap, but the crowd is so enamored with him, they seem to be blind and deaf. He's coming here next week along with Gaetano Parisio, while in the adjoining room (yet separate entrance fee) is Chris Liebing, who is the MASTER!!! Its gonna be hard to choose (even tho there may be wristbands available to purchase so that u can attend both events), because its also the same nite as another annual party held on a farm with purely local talent, but its always such a good vibe....

**And having seen Ferry just 2 weeks ago, I can tell u all that he's playing REALLY well now. Sure, he's still dropping some of the guaranteed crowd pleaser tunes like Punk & Rock your Body, but OMG he played SO MANY WICKED TRACKS!!!! If he repeats that over in LA, u wont be disappointed. |
Oh ya, and one more thing... I luv ya Nat and all, and I hate to get on your case, but look who's talking!!! You used to love Mauro, untill that "incident" with Jake @ System. Don't hate Mauro because Jake was a . Plus, your license plate on your car says "PICOTTO". ;)

Hey you, long time no talk!!!! Hey, just wanna let you know that I have kept my promise and I have not seen Mauro since my little incident with Jake back in 2002!!!!!! That's probably why I'm all excited, because I havent seen him in a long time and I finally decided to give in!!!! :stongue: I did see Ferry at Coachella, and I wasn't too impressed. That day I was more into PVD who played right after Ferry!!!! Oh well.... I can always see Ferry at Day 1 on Jan...

BTW, I havent downloaded any Mauro sets recently, so I can't comment on his new style, but the last one I heard earlier this year (after the aria set) WAS AMAZING!!!! HARD AS !!!!! Well... I can always get two tickets and go back and forth between events... After all, they are 2 blocks away from each other!!!! WALKING DISTANCE BABY!!!! :stongue:
Oh yeah, and I agree with TATGIRL about Mauro being more into getting wasted.. People on his Message board are bashing on him for that!!! hahahahahaha :haha: :haha: :haha: |

Woody & TATGIRL had 2 totally different incidents.
I was talking to a girl who used to post on Mauro's msg board alot. She lives in Ireland, but travelled to Scotland just to see Mauro. When she was there, she really wanted to go say hi to Mauro & Jake, maybe take a couple pics with them, but Jake just blew her off. She felt that since she wasn't the most attractive girl, Jake just ignored her... yet, there were a few really "attractive" girls inside the DJ booth.
After that, she kinda lost interest in Mauro, and stopped posting on his board. But why hate Mauro because of Jake???? |

| Jake is Mauro's partner. They used to always travel together. My incident was this... When Mauro last played at the Hollywood Palladium, which BTW it was a weak night!!!!! BORING cuz he only played for an hour and the other Djs killed the mood, I approached Mauro & crew at the end of the night. I went up and gave a promo CD that was ment for Mauro to Jake. Jake then got it, broked it into pieces, and threw it on the floor right infront of me!!!! That pist me off!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's just say that I wanted to kick Jake's ass that night... And to top things off, on my way home, they were going the same way I was so I tailgated on jakes side of the limo and I kept on flipping him off!!!! lmao :haha: :haha: That night was a joke! After that night, I bowed not to see Mauro for a long while!!! and I kept my promise. It's been way over 2 years and I still havent seen him... Well, now that jake doesnt travel with Mauro anymore, I decided to brake my promise and to go see him for the first time in over 2 years! BTW, I did get a public apology from Mauro's manager. He posted it on Mauro's message board... But, after posting my incident there, lot's of people started complaining against Jake and his rudeness... :haha: Those days at that message board felt like therapy sessions!!!! :haha: |
