| What are some of your favorite transitions. They can be from either cd compilations, or sets, it's up to you, but there are quite a few out there that are etched in my mind. For me I don't think it gets any better than Two Years of Oakenfold @ Cream album, where it goes from track 9.Flash into 10.LSG's Netherworld I can't even begin to think how in rawk that must of beeen the night when this cd was recorded. |

viola into flaming june
it's a bog standard crossfade, no beat matching, it's just ing perfection
when you hear the crowds reaction when they realise what it is
it's like a sex explosion |

I might have some people neg on me for bringing something up that I did, and none of you have heard, but I found a really cool overlap coming out of Breeder - Twilo Thunder and into L.S.G. - Netherworld. Both melodies go simultaneously. It's the subtle rolling melody, kind of consistent, towards one of the builds in Twilo Thunder and the L.S.G. main melody. It is really hard to describe, but they sound really good together.
Another one is Tillmann Urmacher - On the Run (Something coast mix) into Mogwai - Neon. Can run together for like three minutes melody on melody without clashing. Bassline drops in nicely, etc. |

I don't like to mix like that, but I understand why he would with Flaming June. That track is a bitch and a half to mix. I need to listen to that one again to catch it. He drop mixes into Symmetry C - Brainchild (Lange Breakbeat) pretty well at times too. Another track that is almost impossible to mix otherwise. |

the pvd mix of flaming june is piss easy to mix, it's just the way he moved into the intro
one of the all time greatest moments in dance music IMO |

| hmm, Flaming June is a cool tune, but what's with all the buttlove that its gettin', sure it was a classic, maybe I just don't see it as that type of a tune that gets my hairs standing. |

It's mixeable, but I have many good dj's that have agreed that it's not as easy as most tracks you pick up to mix. You have to choose your spot more closely, and be careful of what you are coming out of to avoid any clash. Mixing out is a cake walk, but mixing in is harder than your average record. IMO |

Hope I'm not asking too much but... is there any chance of posting a sample if you have a recording? Would be interested in hearing it :) |
