smoking permitted bars

Ok please list bars that you know that allow smoking inside around your area. I'm not talking about smoking patios, i mean places where yuo can sit at the bar like in Las Vegas and just smoke a cig while drinking. A place like Tiki-ti in Hollywood. I'm sick of being exiled to outside smoking patios when i go out to get a drink and i'd like to find a place where i can smoke my cigarette, drink my beer and shoot the without having to step outside.

You can only smoke in bars that are family owned and operated in Cali.

that is interesting... how did they get around that law?
by the way, i tend to smoke when i drink but i really like the no smoking in bars thing. it feels nice not to reek when i get home and it also tends to make me smoke less which is good. |

you might find some that have smoking rooms...where you can sit in a room that has a filter inside concelled off from the rest of the bar...but its the same as standing outside, your still not at the bar....the only one i knew of here in san diego was torn down

I actually believe the laws are to protect the employees more than the patrons. Because, think about it, a patron can easily choose not to go to a place if smoking is allowed on the insie. When it comes to employees, a lot of people take a job because it's all they can get, so that part would be out of their control.
If it's family owned and operated, it's really a different matter. It's a family thing and there's a much bigger understanding to it all.
Anyhow, ever since I moved out here, I was always told that you can smoke in bars that are family owned and operated and have been in plenty of bars & lounges where it's allowed with no problems. I've even seen a few around that have signs that say something like " is family owned and operated. You are permitted to smoke inside" in the window.
Ten15 has a smoking room that's inside. Best room to go into to cool down since they have cold air blasting in there bigtime. It's sits over the main room DJ booth and has windows that lets you look at the main room from above. |

| you know that's interesting. i guess if you're a owner and you choose to let smokers smoke in your establishment and you get cancer or emphasema from second hand smoke it was your choice to let them smoke there so you just screwed yourself. whereas the typical waitress has no choice. it actually makes sense. |
