So I was listening to KROQ today, and they played Chemical Brothers....

And after the DJ played one of their songs, he was like "This song was from Chemical Brothers, not a typical song we would play on this station. It's generally not 'radio material'. It doesn't have words in it... no begining, middle, or end, just a lot of musical beats... but they are great producers who use musical samples for their productions".
I was like greaaaaaaat. Just make EDM sound like it's nothing but boring musical beats!!!!!! :whip: |

its dj's like these that give EDM a bad name...I've had friends who listened to nothing but KORN, Tool, and Live...Great Bands..they send to be like wtf u listening to...repetitive ...today the same guys are signing up as NY and FL T.A's...I've been sending music home and they cant get enough...

At work...my cubicle is near by Boss' office...I always thought he had something lodged up his ass cause he always had that look ...aways frowned..he's like 50 something or late 40's for sure...typical white dude...Then one day last week he's listening to a set with Touch me and Dreaming...I could'nt believe it...I waited for a good hour and a half and a couple of times I passed by and saw him tapping his foot...slapping the table... Never did i expect amongst all places my Boss listening to EDM...I couldnt resist...I went in and I'm like "George, are you listening to Trance?" He was taken by surprise...He said some kid gave him a cd and he never figured out what album it was so he was going through Tiesto's site and listeneing to his sets...After listening to a couple of tracks I told him it was summerbreeze and he was real happy cause the part with Silence was damaged and he wanted it real bad...I had my laptop, burned him a couple of cd's including Silence and gave em to him..He's freaking out...I even told him about the NYE party...I still cannot believe it...I have faith in the power of trance... BOOYAAA!!! |

WOW nice!!! You should invite him to go see Tiesto next time he is in town!!!! hahahhahaha
I love it when you find out random people like EDM. I found out one of my co-workers loves EDM too. He moved here from Texas a couple years ago, and since then, he hasn't really met any friends who are into EDM... so I told him to come to Avalon with me & my friends next time! :cool: |

| maybe i should invite George out..imagine him doin the swing...well we do occasionally have a cople of oldies shaking theyre thang or doing some hard core pelvic thrusts at Avalon and Circus...its quite amuzing...sometimes u wonder if these guys woke up the next morning remembering what the were doing last night....:eyes: |
