I'm planning to go to London on the 30th Of September for the Anjunabeats Vol 2 launch party night at Turnmills. My Eurostar train arrives at Waterloo Station at 17:27 pm in the afternoon. I'd like to take the tube first for buying some good stuffs on CD's and vynils in the center and afterwards for going to Turnmills. How much does a single journey per person in the tube cost?

the underground is divided by zones, zone 1 being the most central (also where turnmills is). not sure where waterloo station is, but its likely to be zone 1 or zone 2. in that case a single ticket will be 2.20 GBP.

however, i dont think there will be any music shops open that late (shops in the UK tend to close pretty early)

if any other TA know any shops that stay open late, post them here

A lot of the Oxford street shops are open till 8pm and the good ones are open till 10pm!

There is one HMV shop underground, near the Trocadero which is open till midnight!

It's great shopping at night, when its a bit less busy :)

You're probably best just buying a travel card so you don't need to worry about going into zones which you're not meant to be in.

as everyone has said, buying a travelcard will be best option, especially if you make more that 2 trips on the underground

do remember that youll need to buy new ones on the morning after the party

Yup TravelCard. Most of the record shops are located in Soho (Berwick Street) or you've got Virgin Megastore and HMV on Oxford Street that will also hold Vinyl, so i suggest Oxford Circus or Tottenham Court Road. Farringdon is where Turnmills is.

Waterloo is also in zone 1.

must get myself down there at some point, not this month though, already done £170 on records. What are their prices like

I went to HMV and Virgin Megastores in Oxford Street. I didn't have time to visit more recordstores because it was already 07.00 PM when I got there Plus, I coudn't waste all my money with vynils. I had to keep for the McDo, the entry at Turnmills and the drinks. I found a couple of good stuffs, anyway :
MIKE SHIVER - FEELINGS
SMITH & PLEDGER - FOREVER
ABOVE & BEYOND PRES TRANQUILITY BASE - SURRENDER
RONSKI SPEED - E.O.S (A TRANCE COMMUNICATION RELEASE EDITION)
ENDRE - KALLOCAIN

I bought a one day travelling card for zone 1 and 2. It's cheaper to reach for places in London by tube
