Review: Dj Remy

| Aaron and I were not in for the long haul at the GUV last night after being so tired from SYSTEM the night before and working yesterday but DJ REMY deserves my mini review. The 1.5 hours I heard from the man was one of the best sets I have had the pleasure of experiencing in a long long time. HARD, pounding, layered Techy Prog. Just brillant. I was really pissed I had to leave for being so tired because if I could have chosen a night to close a room it would have been for Remy's set last night. I will say though that I would have prefered to see him in a smaller venue, in a darker more intimate space because some of the layers in his stuff seem to get lost in the GUV but it was sweet none the less. Not a huge TA turnout but really great to see the faces I did. Conosur, Endlesswave, ninjapimp, Shaya, Liam...good seeing you all. |

see ray, i told you it was going to be the best night musically. pretty ty that we didn't go since half your damn records are this guy's.
anyways, i'm pissed about missing this since ray fell asleep at 9:00 and never woke up again. |

I'm glad I came out to this. I really needed a break from the craziness of the previous few days.
DJ Remy was pretty good. Didn't get REALLY into it since I was kinda tired and a little hammered... :haha:
Not a big TA turnout at all...I honestly thought I was going to be partying it up alone on this night, but as soon as I walked in I met angelgirl & mossey (great seeing you guys!) :). Also met up with hysterie (great seeing you back on this side of the pond) and sis Joanna, Ninjapimp (thank you very much for the ride back), Endlesswave, LKD, maxtuh, Tully & samhouse and Shaya.
See you all next week in KH.

Remy started out kinda slow i thought but the last 2 and a half hours were pure brilliance...amazing tunes had me dancing hard!!!
and how bout that closing set from mark :)
great night out...

DJ remy was so far the best one i have seen all summer, a change from the same old djs/producers...
Nice Techy tunes, kept me moving all night till 6 am

Didn't get to see much of Remy's set unfortunatley, as I had no plan to hit Guv due to work commitments on sunday..But ended up deciding against it at 3am :crazy: ....By the time we got there Remy was in the process of wrapping up...Got to hear 3 tunes from him which were superb...
Mark's set after remy was pure bliss... there is no other way to define it.. super tracks one after another...

i was there. HA! and lkd that mother****** spilled a drink on me after i elbowed him in the head as he was walking by..lol
anyways i was in the orange room alot..sorry guys but they were dropping some mad party hip hop tunes in there...i was loving it...plus most of the hotties were in there |
