I know quite a few people on here love PF as I do..... just curious who exactly, and what are your favorite albums? experiences? posters? memorabilia etc?

My favorite albums would have to be DSOTM ofcourse and Animals. To me theres nothin like throwin down a bottle of vodka, gettin warm in the stomach, and layin back to animals.....ugh, the best.

My favorite PF poster a black light poster I have with the DSOTM album cover. I have pretty much every album, as well as a DVD docu about the creation of DSOTM with band interviews etc.

Speak up :P

i read the other thread (pink floyd picture) and i was like "how about starting a pink floyd thread ?" :D great idea SporTrance.

my fav. track on Animals is Sheep , you gotta listen to it while driving your car and it's raining outside , best in' feeling ever :D

The Pulse (live concert) had the most beautiful CD package i've seen , specially that red light on the side , holy ... needless to say the two CDs included are awesome !

believe it or not my fav. album is Relics ! i love it to death. right after comes The Wall then DSOTM.

albums that mess with my head : Ummagumma & The Division Bell

album i don't like : A Momentary Lapse of Reason (except for this song Learning to Fly)

have you watched the Pink Floyd @ Pompei video ?

Indeed. My Pink Floyd CDs/MDs are never far from my side.

My favorite "forgotten" album is Meddle

I saw Roger Waters perform a couple years ago. It was awesome because he played his own stuff plus a lot of old Pink Floyd stuff as well.

I would have to say that my favorite album of theirs is "Wish You Were Here" - GREAT lyrics and sound to that one. I also enjoyed 'Echoes' as a CD compilation - great variety of songs, for what it is.

Dark Side of the Moon was excellent as well - album art was obviously the inspiration for my sig. :D

DARK SIDE OF THE MOON

thats my fave album and the wall and wish you were here also excellent. The wall movie is some of the weirdest ive ever seen haha.Pink Floyd is one of the first bands to go with an electronic - trance sound, just look at the song "On The Run" on Dark side of the moon.Ive seen a couple of their concerts on TV and the one Roger Waters did after he left Pink Floyd.

I really think that Dark Side of the Moon AND Wish You Were Here are the 2 best PF albums... 2 back to back masterpiece.

I've seen Roger Waters live in 1999 for the In the Flesh tour. It was an incredible show, in an outdoor venue. Weather was perfect, best sound I've heard for this venue ever (not surprising coming from Waters!)... the man played for almost 2h30 non-stop without any opening act. What a show!

on another topic... next thursday I'm going to see The Australian Pink Floyd Show. Has anyone ever seen those guys perform? I've heard that they are the closest thing to a Pink Floyd experience that you can get right now. Actually, Gilmour even invited those guys to play at one of his birthday party and he joined them on stage for a few songs!
