i have a legit win xp home "upgrade" edition cd. when i clean install, it asks me to insert a prior copy of windows installation cd (win 95, 98, NT, 2000) in order to be able to 'verify' that i already have a prior win operating system.
is there a way around this? i know how to create .iso files and get into the cd and add / delete files that way, so i'm wondering if there was a way to rig this upgrade cd so it doesnt ask that question again.
any help appreciated!
thanks :) |

affrid not, the whole point of a "ugrade" cd was to give people who owned older versions of windows the chance to use xp for less £££
since the only way to "fix" your problem would involve illegal methods this thread is closed. |
