i saw a movie called "the perfect score" and those sat's interested me..until i saw the type of questions..googled it and found a few sat pdf's..
i really don't understand what's the big deal with this, it was too easy! is this test made for 9 or 12 years of study? if it's 9 i think it's a good test, but for 12, i think u should be ashamed if u think this is hard.. :p |

man .. when did i take the SAT ??
SAT sucks .. right now, i can pass the Math section with a perfect 800 , if i tried hard enough .. i think i got like a 760 or 770 when i was in high school .. something like that ..
then came the english part ..
i know my english .. my schizzle dizzles and my homeys and i can get "down with my bad self" .. i sucked at english ..
english sucks..
don't expect me to know the definition of words that i don't use .. and don't tell me to memorize the prefix and suffix of words i don't know .. i can't do it.. i didn't take latin .. that's probably my downfall. |

I was pretty pissed I only got a 1270, but I knew I was going to Colorado University, and with the program I was in and grades this was good enough. Didn't prepare and surprisingly was fairly consitent between Math and Verbal, 88th percentile and 84th respectively.
That was strange since I scored 97th in Math and 64th in Verbal on the PSAT. I don't think my grasp of the English language improved that much over that one year. Standardized tests really don't mean too much, but I was still disappointed with my performance. |

Well I could rant about what pointless bull it is and how it doesn't say anything about you, but frankly it's a more useful tool for college admissions than anything else because if nothing else it's uniform across all schools and communities.
My biggest complaint would be that they always seem to offer it only on Saturday mornings. Could you pick a worse time to test someone's cognitive abilities? I don't think so... |

I hated the SATs, got a 1270 on it. I think they're overrated and don't really tell much about the person.
Same thing with the ACT, waste of time... |

I barely passed 1000, but I could care less now cause I got into an awesome tech school :)
although my GPA in high school was 3.8
never picked up a book to study
ever
that tells you something about the US education system doesn't it... |

1420...
i was jazzed with the 420 in there. oh well. It is pointless...so much studying, and then once you get to uni, you find out that most admissions people really use when looking over applications... |
