the majority of edm songs dont have vocals but nonetheless a load do have them. in my time i have heard tons of vocal songs and im most people here have heard way more than me. the thing is that i personally cant find better vocals then Sarah McLachlan's vocals in Silence.
her voice is soooo powerfull and amazing in that song. no wonder so many dj's have remixed it and its still a song to be played today years after its release.
i give second place vocals to Nicola Hitchcock, the chick that did the vocals in Tiesto - In my memory.
who agree's? and who dissagre's? |

| Jan Johnston and Kirsty Hawkshaw also deserve to be mentioned. Both their voices have been essential components to some great tracks over the years. |

I don't have vocals, but some voice overs always send shivvers down my spine...
'not everyone understands house music, it's a spiritual thing, a body thing, a soul thing'
The little girl reading that poem at the beginning of Sander's essential mix from 2001
'it's quiet now, as as I think of my thoughts alone, I try to keep my head straight, but I think I'm too far gone...'
during ashley casselle's essential mix when he gets his friend to read a passage from alice in wonderland.
'but if you put on a gramaphone record marked POISON it is almost certain to disagree with you. Sooner or later.'
or the vocals from tenaglia and fisher's 'the better days' is a good one as well.
But as for trance tracks, I don't know who did it, but I love the vocals from Coast to Coast's - Home
as well as Cassandra's vocals on Rui da Silva's Touch Me |
