I did this piece about the same time as "Symphony #1" but never posted it. I did it about 6 months ago... I'm sure if I re-did it now it would sound 10x better production wise... but either way.. here it is

How a 4 year trance producer does a classical piece ;)

Alan-M - Sex In A Minor
Bitrate: 192kbps
Length: 2min 35sec

Feedback would be appreciated

hmm melody is nice! but the sounds are very computurey, especially those reason vocals :P

It would be nice live, i dont think u can really make a classical piece without a live orchestra or something.

Spectrasonis Atmosphere actually.. I dont use Reason :D

All the rest of the samples are from the Vienna Symphonic Library... If I where to do it now I would use much better FX, a much better vocal sample, and Edirol Orchestral since it sounds just as good and is easier to use.

So you made this track only by using your computer? lol

I think this is quite nice, but abit boring imo. Good job. :D

yeh it's not a live orchestra (obviously) - and it sounds like ass butt becuase I have no skill in making an orchestra sound real..

I eventually plan on doing a trance remix of this and my other classical piece.. should prove to be two very epic trance tracks..

VSL is indeed an incredible program, and one can make some very believable orchestral performances with it. A piece by Matthias Guenthert.

I thought the vox sample took away a lot of the believability of it actually being an orchestra playing, but like you said, VSL is really hard to use anyway. Can't deny the quality of the sampels though :)

that mp3 is really good.. it's amazing what u can do with a little bit of articulation and the right amount of EQing/reverb ;)

i've gotten better using those tricks since I did this piece (why it would be 10x better) but I don't think I could get it to sound as good as "Ready to Fight"
Sunquest
def. not sounding good with the voice hehe, u couldve added more reverb on it, more and raise the release and amplitude a little...
other than that, the sounds are excellent
fits a game like zelda, or lord of the rings hehe
gr8 work m8, peace out

Not sure if there are any football fans here but this almost sounds like something that could be played on an NFL Films segment.

I am liking the melodic ideas in this, but not the quality of the sounds. As already said, they a little "computery" or too digital. Would be nice if you redue it with better sounds/effects and stuff.
Lee Silver
Actually that sounds are too digital... Same compose is good, but I don't have any associations with sex :D

Meybe some soundfonts help you? I recomend you website with good banks, all of them are totally free of expense, but you must register: http://www.sf2midi.com/
