Yes! The master has done it again:
this is going to be one of the hottest things you've ever heard ;)

"System Recordings is proud to present Renaissance’s brand new 2xCD mix compilation ‘ALiVE’, from fast-rising UK DJ/producer, James Zabiela.
Teaming up with Renaissance and System to deliver ‘ALiVE’, the latest mix compilation from the UK’s premiere clubbing authority, James Zabiela proves why this young stars’ accolades have been well deserved. Knowing what a great track should sound like and the places it can be taken by manipulating and working it for maximum dancefloor impact is James Zabiela’s forte. Layering different sounds with the aid of two Pioneer CDJ1000s, an FX unit and a pair of trusty Technics 1210 Turntables, James’ hands and ears don’t let up for a second, leading the listener on a breathtaking musical journey over the course of ‘ALiVE’s’ two discs."

zabiela is a great "turntablist"

i agree. The guy has wicked SKILL, but the long breakdowns and MaD scratching that he goes on sometimes totally kills the buzz. And I'm not into his style too much (the breaks he plays are sick, some of the house too, but most of it is soooo monotonous).

yeah- I thought it was great to see him at System ( considering I paid 10.00) but the long breakdowns were just arrghh!!! nice little nostalgia cos he looks so like that lead singer in that Australian grungy rock band- you know who Im talking about.

With that said, i would check him out again tho...:D

well apparently thousands of ppl in sold-out shows all around the globe think otherwise! :D
meh  what's agood club dj anyway? one who playes boring prog?

aside from his technical skills he's "responsible for an amazing shift in the way that many dance music lovers view the DJ, drifting between seamless mixes and mind-boggling effects; melding acid house with progressive, breaks and techno"

people find his style "different" he's not your typical DJ by all means, but even @ System a lot of ppl who were seeing him for the first time and knew nothing about his "turntable" skills had a very good time, enjoying his set, although his style was weird for them. ;)
