| far cry is probably better than HL2 in all areas except physics, but between the gameplay and the mods HL2 is definitely going to be worth it |

I'm pretty sure they were just too afraid to be left in the shadows because of Doom3, so they wanna wait till the hype passes by and get all the attention..

Not to mention that holidays = more money especially when timed right. Best time is mid to late november.
People are going to buy this for different reasons than Doom though. Doom isn't a multiplayer game, it just has one tacked on. Half life has a very good multiplayer following and should allow more than 4 or 6 people in a game at a time.
So far I've been more impressed with how Half life 2 looks than doom in the environments but I think the characters in doom look a bit better. Games always look different when you play them than from screens though, screens tend to bring out the worst in games. |

Far Cry has got to be one of the most over rated games ever. Fun, yes, but definately not what people make it out to be. The A.I. is dumb as a brick. You shoot someone and they look at you like a deer and shout HEY SOMEBODY GET THAT GUY! ARGHHHH. |

| farcry isnt that good, half life 2 will be amazing, even tho i didnt like the 1st one, i can say im really impressed with what ive seen of half life 2. and i doubt halo 2 is going to be much better, half life 2 is always gona be the most popular game, and because of the mods out for it, cs source, tfc source, etc |

...man the water in aztec looks sweet!!
aa switched on really hurts my video card tho :(
the maps are nicely reworkd...but be more fun when some more will be available...looking forward to trying dod:source too, pity have to fork out extra $$ for it haha!
