| I actually have the cd you're talking about, and it's not bad at all. It's not the best I've heard but I think it's more of a number one's list with most of the track's being on there because they are popular and everyone else has heard them. |

Being somewhat new to trance (only being heavily into it for the past 6 months or so), I'm curious as to why a person that doesn't listen to much trance would think this is especially good, while a person that has experience with trance would think it is mediocre. How does a song like... ohh... AR52 - Hibernation hold up compared to this? I know it's personal preference, but is Hibernation more of a "universally good sound" over Reemo?

it looks like a set i would've listened to when i was first getting into trance. in fact, GTR - Mistral was one of my first favorite trance songs. but for whatever reason, the majority of people usually start to get bored w/ trance, and move onto other genres like proghouse/techno/breaks. |

I do that too....
I like the DuMonde-track 'Kalt'....even a friend of mine, who's also a big fan, doesn't like it. And I simply love it! I could go on talking about this song for ages, but my fellow members will come down on me like a brick...
So the mix....it's trance, trance is good, listen to trance, if it makes you happy, listen to that particular mix!
I dunno why you should start a thread about this in the first place, though....
It conciders your music-taste, why do you need approval of others? |

I guess I was just curious why other people didn't like it, but now I understand that everyone has different tastes (not saying that I didn't understand that before).

Very true, a lot of well known uplifting goodies here. I think this is more of a tool to convert ppl to trance :) |
