What is the difference between the "Pro X" version and the regular Supernova II synths? Is it only that it has 48 voices? Or are there other differences?

Thanx.

As far as I can tell this is correct. Only difference is the added polyphony.

Supernovas II were made in the following flavors:

SN II - 24 voice poly
SN II Pro - 32 voice (with an add-on card)
SN II Pro X - 48 voice poly

ProX is pretty cool if you're stacking oscilators, especially with ASM being able to do a detune per OSC, when you stack up 3 OSC's detuned each, it's as if you had 6 oscilators - which sucks up poly big time. HAving a 48 voice unit would definitely help with that, otherwise it's not noticeable.

BTW, did you know that Nu NRG use SN II ProX keyboard live?

;)
