So i got into an accident

Ironically enough, it was during the 3% of the time i spend on the road when i'm NOT going over speed limit! But yea, that was really something. Lesson learned: NEVER assume the person behind the wheel of any given car is more intelligent than a monkey. The way i got hit is simply mindboggling. I have NO idea whatsoever hot he got his license! This guy was driving a laundry truck for 10 seconds with THE LANE DIVIDER INBETWEEN HIS WHEELS. Then he finally switched into the left lane and as i started to pass him, made a SHARP RIGHT TURN right into my car! Not only that, but after hitting me, HE KEPT ON GOING and dragged me along for 5 seconds! I was only going 40, so i'm fine, though the car got pretty torn up. Kinda makes me wonder what would have happened if he did this on the highway going 140 though. I still don't think speeding is dangerous - that would have been just as bad at 120 or 140. What's dangerous are morons who not only not know how to drive, but lack any common sense or intelligence. But nevertheless, i'm gonna try to drive a little differently now, perhaps stay even further back and avoid being in someone's blindspot.

It seems you've escaped death once more, but fear not, the angel of death will get you, and he aint ever stopping for you or Devon Sawa.

and this is something they teach you in defensive driving conditions
the first thing they teach you is that everybody on the road buy you is a moron waiting to hit you, so be aware at all times.

What a surprise!!!!!

Maybe its time for you to write a book about all those near-death experiences.

Whatever you do, DON'T CLAIM IT TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY!!!

On average, you will pay $30 000 more in insurance. Unless the damage is more than that, NEVER EVER CLAIM YOUR CAR INSURANCE.

Damn guy....someone's watchin' out for you that's for sure. ;)

Glad to hear you're ok though, sux about the car.

Yea, I don't like being in people's blind spots either and I always make sure they aren't in mine.
You just never know what the hell someone will pull at that last sec...

So what happened was you saw an idiot driving badly, then decided to INSIDE PASS him, perhaps the worst and stupidest move most drivers who think they are F1 material like yourself do all the time.

Luckily you weren't doing this @ your normal 120+ or death would have ensued. You got hit because you put yourself in the position to get hit.

The world's smallest violin would be playing, but it's been reserved for a deserving situation.

There was no "move." He changed lanes from right to left and slowed down. I stayed in the right and naturally, started to pass him. Then he suddenly made a right turn right into me. You're right on one thing though - i shoulda stayed the hell away from that truck after realizing what a bad driver he is.
