Hey Guys , Sorry for my first post to be a negative one but i have been looking forward to seeing Van Buuren for the last month and i thought his set was pretty flat , Very repetative. I swear he was using the same bassline for 20 minutes. Does anyone else agee or am i just nuts? I saw Tiesto just last month and i thought he was ten times better,Van Buuren in my opinion just didnt mix it up enough,I heard next to no vocals , I literally liked 4 songs i heard all night. I ended up leaving at 3:30 so i cant speak for the end of his set, How was the last 1-1/2 ?

I imagine most you guys went to see Tiesto so how would you rate Van Buurens performance vesus Tiesto's?:(

i would say the tracks he played in the 1st hour and the last where good. maybe because he wanted to play for diff audiences , not too much trance was played? i dunno? but i had a good tim.

Tiesto was utter .

Armin is 10x the dj that Tiesto is if you compare their sets at Vision.

i thought his set on saturday had more variety to it than the last couple of sets.

i personally like armin's style and mixing better than tiesto - but thats just my personal preference

Absoulutely agree!!

IMO, I have tons of live set's from Armin from all over the place which were WAY better than he played Saturday....but I still had a blast and thought the music was great.

And it was the first time I got to see him live so I was all :D

Tiesto of last year or so has sucked compared to Armin, Tiesto is full of himself while Armin is all about the fans! I am not a Tiesto hater either he used to be my Fav. but the number one thing went straight to his head and has effected his Djing in a negative way!

hmmm...i smell a tiesto vs armin battle. ;)

I still like Tiesto, I spin a lot of his tunes in my bedroom and house party sets, but I recall Tiesto at his last Chicago set not really even mixing a lot of the time and focusing more on his vodka and women. He played some good songs and a lot of his own productions, but he even cut his set before the last song finished. They even put up that goofy tent so you couldn't watch him and he didn't really even talk to anyone or take pictures after his set. Armin this past weekend appeared to take over after Markus and instantly started shaking hands, signing CD's, etc. Granted that being friendly has nothing to do with talent, but it's nice to see that all the money we spend is appreciated and that they're into the music just as much as we are. Maybe I'm coming from a different point of view and had different expectations after Armin's set in May, when I was expecting to hear a lot of ASOT'04 songs and didn't hear too many then and found this weekend to be more ASOT-ish, but I thought this past weekend was insanely good. Not to say that I didn't have fun seeing Tiesto, but I think Armin this past time was more impressive and more focused, though I could always be wrong. In any case, Matt Darey, Markus & AVB made this weekend great!
