It's one of those companies where you have to help others so they can later on help you. It's time consuming, I assume. Only those at the top make the best money. I was offered a job there but refused. I wasn't convinced. But that's just me. |

| if you want to sell insurance, I know a guy who is looking for people. Don't go with primerica, they are a big company but only a few make decent coin. The job is horrible from what I heard and I was offered a few interviews with them over the last few months and I've flat out refused everytime. I've heard bad things about the company, so I won't waste my time. |

i went to one of the meeting things too and it was the biggest waste of time. they tell you that you have to put in like five years of work with them and then they give you your own branch. i was like :wtf: . then when you tell them you arent interested they just keep calling you for like the next two weeks. it was horrible. then like a month later they were waiting outside my college job fair and they were "recruiting people" as they were leaving. it reminded me of things you see in movies about cults. if you want to get back at someone, give them your enemies information and bask in your victory. |

I wouldn't do it.
Well, crap. I already did, and I tell you; get out now. Don't walk, run.
I don't know actually. If you're really the type of person that's friendly all the time, always having a positive attitude (the high-on-life type of person) then you may be right for it.
This is how it works, as far as I know.
Basically, you try to 'help out' families. That is, educate them on insurance policies and the like; tell them how to save money. Your trainer will sit down with families, and give them a small introduction. That part is all free for the families. You're essentially trying to get families to sit down and have a free lecture on what Primerica can do, through friends / family of your own.
However you can only get money once you're licensed. Your cash flow is based on how Primerica helps the families. So if they decide to purchase an insurance policy (although thats not all Primerica provides), you get some money based on how much that policy was worth (lets say 20%, at the lowest level).
The more families you help, the higher up you go. And higher percentage you get.
If you recruit people, you also 'move up' levels in the company. And if the person YOU got to join helpsfamilies, you get a percentage of any policies that they're able to sell as well. So it cascades, somewhat.
Again, you don't get money till you're licensed. You have to take 2 tests in order to do this, and there are mandatory classes to attend.
You do have to pay to take the test. Also to join. It's for a "background check" supposedly; and you're supposed to get your money back. Once you seem to be doing well and are licensed, of course.
Therefore, I wasted my money on that , in my opinion. Hell, I don't see anyone else here saying how they're making good money from it.
Sorry, I just typed this out in one go, without relooking through what I typed. Hopefully it's understandable, to some extent.
Sigh, that took long enough. I'm going back to work =/ |
