I couldnt find any good clap samples. But how would do u compose yours> Do you use a little snare in it wih some reverb? im having trouble composing a cool sounding clap. Cheesy ones are easy.
DJ-Igloo
use verb and delay on it and eq it.

I think noise-based claps can sound the best if done properly
DJ-Igloo
yes but sometimes even combing a clap and the right snare with some verb and delay sound awsome
sufee_b
OYure both right, but thats true that noise based claps sound cool. Maybe a hint of distortion?
DJ-Igloo
u could but its not a main trend for claps less its hard trance

to get the clap you want layering is the best way.. take 3 or 4 claps that when combined will have all the elements you are looking for.. IE one clap that has a good amount of snap.. another that has a lot of treble.. another that hassome good mids.. etc etc.. then EQ, Compress, and reverberate (in that order) to get this:

clap

if you have FL studio, download this to see how I did it
Sonicstyle

I Usually layer 2-3 claps together , eq, compress together, lots of verb and the i little distortion

The way I do mine is QuadraFuzz them in Cubase SX, stretch them 200-300%, compress them, reverb them, and then reverse the second half of the tail. It works good even with crappy samples. :tongue2
