ok, what is the best program that is free, for me to use to reduce the size of my mp3's so i can submit them in the track ID forum??
any help would be greatly appreciated as i am getting frustrated here.

| if you check the main site page, there used to be a 'software' section which had a couple of useful programs up for download to do the trick, not sure if it's still there cos it's been a long time |

i suggest you use lame encoder...it is dos-based but it is the best.
although i am not sure whether it can encode at extremely low bit-rates. Try nonetheless.
;)
i use lame encoder v 3.92.
it's freeware.
