Here is a guest mix I did with Manuel Le Saux (Yesterday). I really enjoyed it, and went with something a bit techier and more upbeat.. trying to stay away from playing the same stuff! However, we both peeled out CHILDREN OF THE SUN! lol. Ah well, What can you do? Some tunes are just CHOONS!

Anyway, I would appreciate any feedback.. and you can Download the mix at www.evolving-moods.net and if you havn't become a member yet, please do. They are good people, and you can DL some other great mixes as well. For those of you too lazy to become members, find me on AIM or MSN.. or DC++ and I will get it over to you. The tracklist and what I think is the direct link is below! I hope you enjoy it, and if you find time in your busy schedule.. and your big heart to give it a listen! let me know!

I have a run of the mill 56k...yeah I'm a tad behind, but only in the online connection department ;) Anyway...it took me about 6 hours to DL your mix but the track list was full of songs I've wanted to hear and a lot which I've never heard of so it excited me. I just started listening to it this very moment, so I will get back to you and give you the feedback that you would appreciate from your listeners... :)

First of all, a cue sheet would be AMAZINGLY GREAT...

Now onto my review...

I break it down into:
[track]
[transition]
[track]

Even though it's a readio show, the beated intro is a little crappy, I like a formal intro myself, but track # 1 is actually very nice and I enjoyed it a lot, thanx for the introduction to this song :)

The first transition is pretty basic, nothing interesting and actually a bit boring but it's a good transition, nothing wrong with it it just could have been a bit more exciting.

Track # 2 is great, it deserves all the praise it's getting, this is my first time hearing this specific remix so I was very happy, and this was one of the songs that attracted me to DLing the mix in the first place.

The next transition is a bit more exciting...it came on quickly but hey that doesn't matter, slow or quick, it's all the same as long as it's delivered with good skill, which it was. I'm still waiting for that WOW transition though...but it's only the second one so we still have time.

Track # 3 continues your GREAT tech-trance vibe, which I love and honestly thing we need MORE. This is another song I have not heard too. It's a pretty basic tech trance song, nothing that stands out in it but it fits with the flow of the set.

Hmmm, here is another transition I'm not really that too keen on. It's a bit empty and takes too long to get into the groove of the next song, and again is a little bit boring for my tastes, but it has good form just not that interesting.

Track # 4 caught my attention because it had kinda tribalish percussion BUT it didn't have the power the previous 2 tracks did and it's kick was very weak and unitimidating which took away from the vibe you set up before, at least for me. And in the end I found myself very bored with the song...

This transition I liked a little bit more, even though it was a basic crossfade type deal. Perhaps the main reason I liked it is because it took the mix OUT of track # 4. Na, just kidding. I did like this transition, good job :)

Track # 5 was another reason I DLed this mix because I haven't heard any new Adam Sheridan songs since Lektrik so I was excited! This song didn't disapoint me and for the sake of your mix it started to pick up the pace again and get back on track but this time with a more trancy edge rather than the thick techy vibe in the begining 4 songs.

Here comes another transition and the verdict is ... it's nothing special but this one works as well as the other 2 I was fond of so no need to worry. Up to this point all of your transitions have technically been great, but as far as interesting goes, nada. This transition worked wonders though at least for merging the vibes of the songs together.

I'm a fan of BK and track # 6 was yet another reason I grabbed this mix, very energetic song with a great vibe. I'm loving this song. BK is the man. Glad to hear a great song like this. Thanx again for introducing me to some more quality material.

Alrighty, now it's time for another transition. This one was ok. You never miss a bit I'll give you that much but when the kick for the next track came in it was unexpected for me and a little harder than I expected...so I dunno if I'd say it was a good idea, but it worked technically.

Track # 7 is another good track witha great breakdown, very trance-a-lishous. The climax was dull though, it didn't tickle my fancy. Oh well...

This transition was yet again uninspired and very not interesting or even THAT slick. But it was technically fine, no problems.

Track # 8 is already a growing classic of this year, everyone who is anyone is playing this bad ass track...I praise you for using it as well, it's simple but very effective, great energy and good sounds.

AHHHHHH!!!! No, I didn't like this transition at all. As a critic I have to be honest...no no no no...this just didn't sound right to me at all. It just didn't fit what-so-ever and was just made in bad taste IMO.

Track # 9, I don't need to say anything about this track other than it's been in my top tracks of 2004 for quite some time, lovin' it!!!

Ok this transition was good...but I dunno, something was just missing for me, but like all of the others it was technically fine. I actually like this transition more than some of the others, so thats a plus.

Track # 10, a good quality trancer, never heard of it before but I'm yet again in debt to you for introducing to me a new song that I'm actually really liking. Track selection is good :)

The final transition just bursts in without warning, but it fits SOMEWHAT, but it could have been so much better. But it works...

Track # 11...I liked the original and was attracted to the fact that you dared to touch it with your producing skills. You didn't do much to it though which disapointed me, but oh well...I still prefer the original.

You have great track selection, definetly a good taste in music. And I would like to thank you so much for introducing new tracks to me and for taking the tech-route, it's a much needed change :) Your transitions are decent, technically sound and would work at a club just fine. Your flow is average, but thats a good thing at this point.

Although I mentioned your transtions in the above paragraph as being good, they could be soooo much better and more thought out. Being creative and interesting with transitions is important and can set you apart from other DJ's. Try to make them a little more exciting and a lot more moving. Also, even though your flow is good try stick to the harder vibe if thats what you start out with, don't slow it down so early on...

Your a good DJ...a talent on the rise...work on your craft and don't get trapped with all the other DJ's trying to break out.

I'll be awaiting more mixes from you...

Problem with being thought out, is that I dont think them out. Iv never programmed a mix in years now.. and just play by ear. If I sat down, and put it together.. Im sure id come up with something more intersting for you! I appreciate your full review, and when I do a programmed/thought out mix.. Ill let you know for sure! Not to many out there like you, honesty is a gr8 thing :)

Thanks again
