OT:getting a recording studio engineer/producer job

Ok, this does not have much to do with production studio stuff.
I apologize in advance.
Anyone here has an experience or opinions about the services
provided by:

The service supposedly has you pay $5k+ to be placed with a mentor at
a recording studio. The idea is that you will learn a lot of things,
do some good work, make a good impression and eventually get hired by
the studio.
Does this approach work in todays recording studio industry ?

That really does work, but it won't cost you 5 grand. Just go to a studio and tell them you want to help them out and learn how its done. and show them its going to be to their benefit to have you around. |

| yep pimps right thats where ive learned alot about music other then school , and self treaching ive worked at local studios learing the ins and out of the jobs and skills. |
