So I'm watching the pre-debate live from the hall in which it is being held and it sounds more like a pep rally. You have people cheering with signs and pom-poms as if it were a homecoming game. People were even chanting "Kerry! Kerry!" Jerry Springer style! They even have a countdown clock in the corner of the screen!
What ever happened to Presidential debates being Presidential?:rolleyes:
I think this informality problem all began with "casual Fridays" LOL

MONDAY NIGHT DEBATE YA'LL!!!
I think this is what American politics has turned into. It's less and less about ideas and more about who can slam the other guy harder. In the end, it's all about the lesser of two evils.
And for some reason, it always feels like (with USA politics) the candidates are all just like former high school football team captains.... |
