Well, it's not that I want to be 21 really. It's just that all Austin clubs that play the big names are 21+. Oh well, I'll just see Ferry in Dallas then :D |

Element has a huge dancefloor... Bigger sound as well. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Yes, it suck that its 21 and up... but, b/c of probs on 6th St. The TABC has cracked down and venue owners are afraid of being harassed.

| I've only recently started going to EDM events in Austin, and they were all at Sky Lounge. Has anyone been to a EDM event @ element, and how was it in general and compared to sky? I saw the post that the sound is good, but I'm concerned about lighting too. I don't recall Element having proper lighting good for EDM. Let me know how your EDM experiences were @ Element! |

I used to throw parties at Element about 3 years ago... To give you a better idea... Element is more of a dance club than Sky. More space... the System is a Mach 4 way with 6 dual 18' (sub) cabnets. It is a Martin Lighting flagship club... with over 50 fixtures. Basically it has a $200 K light and sound system. Prob the biggest in central TX.
I think you will be impressed beyond your expectations...
We've had Paul Oakenfold, Hybrid, Deep Dish, Steve Lawler, Sandra Collins, Timo Maas, Quivver, LTJ, etc play there we also had the Delta Heavy afterparty there.
