Max Graham at Helsinki 30-09-2004 review

Man oh man. One word to describe this set is : Insanity, and electric guitar binge. I guess he's digging electric guitars because he played like 7 songs that featured them in the melody.
He played choon after choon. At one point he played Flash dance, Call on Me and Philth all in a row! Now flash dance isn't one of my favs, but Philth is as well as call on me, and it was my first time hearing filth. He also played some sick remix of "owner of a broken heart". Other mentionables are the 4 min loop of some song with "rave" being said over and over again till we died on the floor. it was insane. And I've never seen anyone scratch with a CDJ 1000 as of yet (although I"ve heard Zabiela does it), I think that's pretty bold, as I find the sound isn't as good as real vinyls, it still sounded good last night. Finally, and last but not least. The girls! OMG, there were so many hot girls last night! you montrealers really have to come down and see for yourself. Ottawa is a secret gem for hot girls. Other songs of mention: Luke Chable - Ride (breaks remix), I think there was a song called M&M's in there as well. |

WOW.......what a party that was......Last night's set by MG is now tied for the best set of 2004 for me.....tied with Sander at Cream
no surprise that they play many of the same tracks.....all killer tunes
i got more tracks to name off....once i get a chance
great party......amazing girls.......everyone not there missed a great party....and the price of 10 bucks to get in and Cheap drinks made the night awesome |

| Great little club, intimate, nice inside, and its got good sound! Nothing amazing but compared with other Ottawa venues its the one of the best! |
