Having a bunch of decent tracks doesn't make an album solid, it also needs something that ties the tracks together. Otherwise it's just a bunch of tracks chucked on a CD.

Solid:
Mirco De Govia - Chronoscale
Junkie XL - Saturday Teenage Kick
Junkie XL - Big Sounds Of The Drags
Junkie XL - Radio JXL: A Broadcast From the Computer Hell Cabin (only the 3AM disc tho, the 3PM disc is trash)
BT - ESCM

Hollow:
The Crystal Method - Legion of Boom (there's nothing wrong with it as such... it just does nothing for me)
Three Drives - Melodies From the Universe (a prime example of how not to mix an album)

yeah but how often is it wise to mix artist albums, I'd rather have unmixed cuts that aren't just shoved together to 'flow' when in essence they won't

Solid:

Chicane - Far From The Maddening Crowds <- One of the best albums ever!

Markus Schulz - Coldharbour Sessions 2004 <- The best album of this year

Hollow:

Infinite Euphoria Mixed By Fery Corsten <- CRAP! :whip:

Tiësto - Just Be <- 3 good trax out of 10 :whip:

Did I say they have to be mixed?

Snooper
Solid:

Orbital - In Sides
L.S.G. - Volume Two
Underworld - 1992-2002

I'll include Out Of The Blue, my version got "Elevate" instead of DVT, and this is one of the best tunes on the album IMO. :D

Hollow:

Ferry Corsten - Trance Nation 2002

Damn, I should have checked the tracklist better before I bought this one!
SYSTEM-J
DJ Cinos, you're constantly making threads about albums, yet you only ever pimp the same four or five albums. How many do you actually own?
MekkaFIN
Solid:

* Chicane - Behind The Sun
* Conjure One - Conjure One
* Paul Oakenfold - The Great Wall
* Orkidea - Taika
* Sasha - Airdrawndagger
* UNKLE - Never, Never, Land
nwopper
Solid:

Chicane - Behind the Sun (agree with Cinos)
Organ Donors - Plastic Surgeons (agree with Ian)
Nu-NRG - Freefall

Hollow:

Armin van Buuren - 76 (agree with Montana)
Tiesto - Parade of the Athletes
MarathonMan
So many CDs I have to buy! I'm getting in trance again after being into prog for a long while. Might get the Nu-NRG album first!

But anyway:

Solid
LSG - Into the Deep ;Devastatingly beautiful. Ambient trance kinda thing. Top CD!
Halcyon+On+On
Solid:

Oakenfold - Tranceport
Tiesto - Magik 6
Tiesto - Magik 3
Oakenfold - Fluoro (Both discs)
Armin van Buuren - Boundaries of Imagination

Hollow:

Sasha & John Digweed - Norther Exposure III: Expeditions
Taucher - High Tide and Low Tide

Mr.Mystery
Ooh, one more solid album:

Orbital - The Middle Of Nowhere

The devastatingly beautiful soundscapes and underlying emotions truly make it a journey. You can't just listen 1 or 2 tracks from it, you have to listen to it all the way through. One of my favourite albums ever.
biznology
Solid:

Sander Klienenberg - NuBreed
Balance 006 - Anthony Pappa CD1
GU 013 Sasha, tho its been said numerous times.
Max Graham Transport 4...how someone can make 2 mix CDs that amazing without whoring melodies is why Max rocks.

Hollow:

Almost too many to mention...
