Dance music is the biggest social movement since punk, and a truly global music revolution. Despite this, it has not been particularly well documented on film. We here at DJmag are always happy to see dance music on the big or small screen because it gives artists, DJs and those involved in the business the recognition they deserve.
A group of amateur filmmakers have decided to make a DVD of the Berlin underground dance scene. Called ‘Berlin Digital - A Guide Through the Electronic Music Scene’, the documentary is a testament to the enthusiastic spirit of the culture capitol of Germany that has stood at the forefront of cutting-edge dance music for years.
It is a tribute to the unsung heroes of the Berlin dance community and a chance for outsiders to get a glimpse into the unseen world of the city’s ever-growing dance music industry.
Berlin, famous for its love of experimental electronic music and sounds of the underground, has a thriving subculture that includes electronica, techno, house and drum & bass scenes.
This DVD captures it well, and includes interviews with a large number of the talented dance music producers, DJs, and labels that have kept the scene going including: Dixon, De:b ug, katapult, !K7, Native Instruments, Tresor, and Sonar Kollektiv, plus many more.
Total playing time of the DVD is 175mins.
The DVD will be released outside of Germany on 13th October.
It will be available in all good record shops and DVD dealers.

real player hat imo die beste stream wiedergabequalität....wenn ich zb streams von puredj höre dann nur mit real player |

also um eins klarzustellen, es geht um den typischen berlin-elektro sound!
nix mit pvd oder ähnlichem! es sind halt immer kleine filmchen wo die verschiedenen
artists und labels besucht werden und die ein wenig von ihrer arbeit erzählen.
leider mehr über die labelarbeit und generelles als über das produzieren an sich.
als berlin mitte bewohner ist es halt sehr lustig das die ihre büros und studios
alle um die ecke haben und alles normale nette leutz sind! :p |

soll das heissen die berichten NUR über den das low spirit und co gesoxxe und nicht einmal über pvd und co???
