What warmup tunes do you guys play / consider playable when supporting an international

I have these on my list:
Andain - Beautiful Things (G&D Mix)
Adam Moor - White Room
Nalin & Kane - BeachBall
Motorcycle - As the rush comes (G&D Mix)
Tilt - The world doesnt know

Pretty much most of G&D stuff i consider playable

Eh, those are pretty much peak time tracks. I would avoid them if you opening for Ferry. Maybe some more "proggy" tracks would be better.

go to your local recordstore and ask them for some records on labels as Pangea, Planetworks etc.

I agree. Most progressive tunes are very suitable for a warmup set.

Some tech-house or breaks might also do the trick.

Hmm...

Marris - Egarnical

Bossanova - Stonecold [Afterburn Mix]

Girl Nobody - Cages [Lemon8 Mix]

Menno De Jong - Guaxni [Original Mix]

Mind Markers - Alive Again

Nu-Nrg - Free Fall

and many more!

may i ask how you've come to warm up for ferry when you clearly have no clue what a warm up set is??

Some of those might work ok, but definately not White Room, and maybe not Tilt, or at least not the original, maybe the Can mix.

I have had the opportunity to open for Ferry twice, Armin 4 times, Tiesto a few times as well as alot of others. What i find works best is this:

Play Proggy early, set a smooth vibe as the crowd fills in. When its time to really start to get the crowd going move into a classic or two (but not too many). The crowds that come out are very educated and you dont want to get labled playing only classics. You want to be sure you bring in your own sound with some gems of your own, not just the big records that they've already heard a ton over the last few years. BUT, a few older tunes, dropped at the rigth time can really help you connect to the crowd.

The hour or so before Ferry would go on you can build up some good energy but try to stay shy of anything really epic. I would suggest keeping your BPM down as well. Say no faster than 134. Alot of tunes that would be to BIG or Epic to play you might be able to get away with at a slower BPM like 132. This leaves the Headliner with alot of room to go where they want to with their set. REMEBER: Its not about you, its their show. You want to make sure you have a good showing but dont try to rock it out to much, its better to politly leave the peak energy to the headliner. Save the EPIC for the next show you play by yourself.

These suggestions are some things that have worked for me time and time again. Take them as they are and do your thing!

Have fun!

If you dont play progg, this is great time to start.

Let me just add to this, there is another local playing after me before the internationals (Ronald van Geldern & Ferry) come on

I have supported a few internationals before and have always just played quite a mellow trance set, i was just posting in here to see what other ppl's opinions were
