| That's not being cocky: that's making something of yourself. If you follow the crowd you can't expect to ever be something special. |

You can do something amazing by merely being there for your family. After all, what is the measure of an amazing deed? Changing the world? Is that always a good thing? Who decides whether it's for the better or not? People like Einstein and Hawking - they've changed our present world and our prospective future by merely being - doing what they do, doing what they love. They didn't seek to change the world, they just happened to do things that served their interests and subsequently gained the admiration of many. People like Hitler did important things as well - a far contrast on the spectrum, but important in regards to our society nonetheless. Which of these examples desired to change the world? Which managed to do so in the more positive manner?
Humility is at the very base of paramount potential - your choices will decide your future and your impact on how others live their lives; merely wanting to be famous/influential/important will never validate your existence. You must have the drive to be something more than not only others, but your prospective self as well. Keeping this in mind, I hope you make the choices which correlate to your potential the most.
Just remember us when you're famous! |

that was awesome..i was hoping for a post like that
but ur last statement "just remember us when ur famous" i dont want to be famous until im dead.
Your nobody until somebody kills you.
and i agree exactly with ur post tho. thats why i said i dont mean just pack ur stuff up and head out on the streets traveling looking for something. i meant putting my together and seeing where that leads me. i mean all the greats didnt go out looking for "something" it was destined to be. they followed their hearts and different situations occured that landed them to their greatness. And it was all beacuse they had their together and were doing their thing. thats what i mean. thats what ive decided and seriously came to the realization of doing. Ive also decided against the whole family routine of life. where u live at home until ur 20 something, u get a job, get married, raise ur family, retire then die. that. imlivingmy life totally different. nothing will be routine. everyday will be a rush till the day i die.
i remmeber used to get this way abt becoming rich. like i was hungry for it. money. i couldnt care less abt it. im hungry for oppurtunity. |

most young people feel this way. everyone has dreams of being the next big rap or rock star, movie actor, president, CEO... not many people dream of being joe schmoe 9-5 over worked under paid so he can come home to his 2nd wife and catch her sleeping with the pool boy.
we should all be so lucky to get first choice. eventually you begin to realise it was all wishful thinking and something inside you dies. you'll never be great, you'll never be etxraoridinary, you'll just be another brick in the wall....
but we still have trance! :gsmile: |
A perfect example of how one of these self-proclaimed bricks thinks.
Attitude will deliver you from mediocrity - even if you aren't one of those (apparently) worshipped rap-stars, actors, or presidents - you can still be successful in living the life you have made for yourself. You may not receive international praise for it (who wants that anyways?) but ever notice how the really, really good people in life get the saddest funerals?
I don't mean to bring you away from your nice, limited, cozy despair - I just think that people who think like this are those destined to be exactly what they perceive themselves as - the world will see nothing much more than what you see within yourself.
Even if you die a forgotten old coot with a good attitude - are you guaranteed anything from the world? Of course not- you are entitled to nothing in this world. What you take with you into eternity, however, will echo through the realms of humanity forever.
Time will tell...
when it is done. |

I have a gun.
I almost shot my t.v. the other night, when I woke up in a panic from a nightmare that ElChupicabre was attacking my doggie.
I unloaded the shotgun soon thereafter. |
Lay off the LSD, you can thank me later. |

What's weird is that I there were no underlying factors which should have caused this type of situation. No drinking, no drugs, no eating late, no smoking ciggies in bed.
I just have REALLY ed up dreams sometimes. Oh, and the fact that my house is haunted.
