| ! I just paid for a song at Beatport.com and started downloading it and it suddenly stopped...the website said you get one download and that's it...wtf am I supposed to do? Anyone have any clue? Damn...you want to help the music community by buying music and this is what you get... |

use a download manager, i.e. getright
actually, i dont know how the thing works, but that'd be my suggestion. |

| I would send an e-mail to [email protected] and ask them to reset the download counter. I don't know why they have only one download possibility per track... that sucks a bit. For example, EDM Digital allows you to download each track twice over the course of five days.. |

| Yeah...I just email them...I did get a confirmation email and everything so hopefully this is not a scam...wish I would've known of that other website before... |

| Well, Beatport has a pretty good selection of tunes and the prices are reasonable... I've downloaded a lot of tunes from them. Too bad that they only allow one download, hopefully they change that at some point.. |

| have a bit of pateience, their support is pretty good. comms errors happen all the time, and they're not likely to be trying to scam you for $1.99 at the risk of getting a bad reputation. |

Beatport's legit - I've ordered tracks from them before (albeit on waves burned onto cd and shipped to me).
If you go to their forums, some ppl do get cut off in the middle of downloads and you should contact support about that. They seem pretty good about things like that.
I hear in Beatport 2.0 they'll support multiple download counts, in case your current download fails. Not sure when 2.0 is coming out however...
Read their FAQ and feedback forums; I think some users have had issues with different browsers or WinXP SP2 causing download failures. |

| I don't think it was a problem with my browser...otherwise, the download wouldn't have started in the first place...like I said before, it was on its way and then it just paused... |

| Happened to me before. Most likely they will reset the download like they did for me. Don't use GetRight though. Any third party download program will not work and just complicate things. The reason being is that they don't want companies like that getting your information. |

| Beatport is based here in Denver and I know some of the people involved. It is definitely not a scam. I'm amazed at how quickly it is being recognized all around the world though. If I'm not mistaken they have been up well under a year. Pretty cool though. |

I like BeatPort. They've got a decent interface, REALLY good pricing (compared to other UK-based stores), and a relatively good selection that's ever-growing with time. They're one of the early online music stores, plus all their stuff is DRM-free, so that helps tons. :)
I have a few nitpicks with them though, but it looks like their upcoming 2.0 revamp will address most of those issues. I would prefer that they increase their trance selection significantly though (right now it seems that house tracks are their main bread 'n butter)... |
