The club scene is NO WHERE near where it was in the late 90s-2000.
Back then just about every club would have HUGE lines like you only see now when superstar DJs play these days, but it didn't matter who was playing...the clubs would just be hella packed.

What tk422 and I mean when we say the "scene", it is when big name DJ come into town. It's a different club scene of the 90s-2000. Back then you did'nt go specificaly to see who was DJing, but because the overall the club scene was good. |

| i dont want to jump to conclusions but the scene to me feels like its been silenced quite a bit, it seems as if promotions are only pulling crowds if they bring big names, which they have been recently, then again it goes to say what names do u define as big names. the top ten most liekly. its sad to say but even the likes of MIKE or carl cox, had alot more less people then i think they would have in the past, people i talk to the old clubbers say they feel like they are stuck in the good ol days 99-01, when the scene was better. now a days people go wherever they think is cool. i know a club down here in newport is insanly packed every monday, on a monday folks, and it has a resident dj. well i hope things change real soon, cause i dont like the way im feeling about the scene currently. |

The current scene is about big names now and promoting the DJ is what the promotes do now. I agree, big names are difined by top 10. Its nice to see Heaven briging other DJs that are just as talented. And to be honest, this "big name" thing has been getting old. It feels SO main stream to me now. Like people arent there for the actual talent of the person, IMO. Which reminds me, my bf went to AVB a couple of weeks ago and when Markus was spinning some guy next to him kept chanting "Armin, Armin, ARmin....." How ing anoying!! People like these are just taking up space!:whip: :whip: :wtf:  |

It appears she meant to say "Factory," not "Fabric."
Isn't The Factory there a Gay/Lesbian dance place? |

yeah which is why i devote alot of my time to heaven. weve been working real hard to get this place going, we just havent seen the numbers, but theres a big line up coming up the next two months so hopefully with good promoting heaven will see past through to the new year. and yeah thats funny i heard the exact same person chearing armin, armin, armin, when markus was opening i couldnt believe it, sad indeed. |

Right now, plans are for me to stay in SF that weekend.
Friday, Oct 29: Paul van Dyk @ Ten15.
Saturday, Oct 30: Lange, Above & Beyond, Oceanlab Live PA, load of others at Popsicle 6 (8,000 person, 18+ massive on a pier).
Sunday, Oct 31: Sander Kleinenberg & Paul Oakenfold @ Ruby Skye.
I would love to be in LA that weekend, but my GF is moving up on Oct 17th after we see Ferry in LA and go to Knottsbury Farm on Oct 18th...so we'd have to worry about two flights and stuff down to LA that weekend. :p

Will Armin be 18+?
IF so...with Monster Massive being 18+...this might be worth a trip to LA...
