i have a problem. there has to be simple solution but i cant figure it out. I looked in the book how to do it but im getting an error.
here is what im trying to do.
I prees F2, then 3(to expand), then i type x^2-6), so the whole thing looks like this expand(x^2-6), and i press enter, and everytime im getting this error: Non-algebraic variable in expression. i dont know what to do, everytime i try to something(like factor etc) with X im getting an error.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO. HELP ME! |

ummmm....
I think you need it to equal something. like:
expand(x^2-6=0)
but I also think you need to put what variable you want it to expand by... so:
expand(x^2-6=0,x)
It's been awhile that might be totally wrong |

click the mode button and make sure that it says:
Normal
Float
degree
RectC
Func
Dec
RectV
dxDer1
By changing the options it could bring up the error? |
