to be honest, i'd rather not say. i respect pvd as an artist and i also respect his desire for privacy. i wouldn't want anyone blabbing about what they might have seen ME do. :eek:
listen, I admit that i was super disappointed to find out that Mr. Paul isn't perfect and perhaps needs a boost now and again. But then I realized that I didn't care if he was a goddamn crackhead. he makes great music.
Furthermore, "look who's talking" is a fallacy (i.e. Tu Quoque). for example, just because someone smokes that does not mean they cannot say smoking is bad. PvD could be a crackhead and, at the same time, actively protest smoking crack. you don't have to practice what you preach in order to preach the truth. Or, rather, to make a good argument, true or not.
did that make sense? |

| I get what you are saying.. I was just wondering because he says that he doesn't do anything.. Not just that's it bad or whatever.. that HE doesn't do anything. I don't really care if he does anyway because I would still love him. I am just really surprised because every time I have seen him and all of the interviews I have read and listened to and stuff he just doesn't give me that kind of vibe. He seems so straight edge. Like he won't even say an alcoholic drink that he likes.. it's all water and coca-cola. |

i know! it's totally surprising!
however, i am not saying he's a drug addict or attacking him at all. I don't doubt that water and coca cola are his favorite drinks. I bet he IS super healthy and an incredibly admirable person. in fact, i am sure of this. his work proves it. i have nothing bad to say about him..i adore him as an artist. i am just saying, no one is perfect. This business, this scene, it must take its toll now and then....
ehh...i hate to say more...because it's all allegations.
for the record: i don't think that smile was anything but pure happiness from spinning for a great crowd in a great club in his home town.
