Noo this has really nothing to do with the original.
It isn't really the melody which is making Sunrise, it's the originality of the sound. To make a remix of this you should IMO use some of the original sounds. But then you'd up the original (or do a ing good job).
I'd never remix such a track. |

| Wow this is great stuff! Very M.I.K.E. style with the acid bassline layer etc! You had best finish this and share it with us all ;-)! |

The original is one of my fave of all time and aside from the melody, I think one its best traits is the structure of the songs - how the levels of each instrument slowly blend in and out. The synths used sound so clear, that hyper synth in the backgroud is simply euphoric as it goes into higher and higher notes.
For you mix:
Has nice energy and bass from beginning. I like your breakbeat, better then MIKE's actually. The kick should be a little deeper and stronger though. As for melodies - I really would not be able to tell its Palamos at all. In a way this is good, but it does not preserve the feel of the original track. It had a feel like almost none of the other EDM tracks. Your mix has a great euphoric feel though.
I'd say make the sounds a bit more poignant, less meshed. Add a distinctive pad in there. |
