Hey, just got my new turntables in the door and im having trouble with 1 of them.
They are Stanton Str8-30 (brand new)
Basically on one of the turntables, the centre spindle wont turn at all, and seams jammed, while the other deck is fine.
I have looked underneath and stuff and checked out what i could but its firmly jammed and will not spin round at all. The power light comes on and everything else seams fine.
Anyone able to help ? |

im sure if you look hard enough you may be able to find a 1200 in your price range. If not, You may be able to buy a older numark tt-1 or tt-2 for cheap too. Im not being a , seriously, if you want really get into spinning, you'll need serious cash b/c you will most likely spend way more on vinyl than gear. |

I take it you mean the platter spindle? If that one's jammed up, it's usually the bearing of the motor that is either messed up or adjusted way too tight. If you blew the motor it shouldn't be jammed. Either way, it can't be repaired. We're talking about a new plattermotor here. |
