Aliens (the all time thrill ride!) -best to watch alien & aliens together back to back
The Omen.
The Excorist. (more dramatic than anything)
Poltergiest.
The Ring. (has some jumpy moments)
Predator. (intense action thriller!)

| Bah! Everyone has just posted some commercial ! If you want quality, check out all of Dario Argento's flicks, most of them were produced in the 70s, and they still are scary and quality films. Also, if you want to see some classics, check out Bela Lugosi's work. ;) |

How about Carl Dreyer's Vampyr or Tod Browning's Freaks? FW Murnau's Nosferatu? |

I've also got this crazy philosophy professor who gives you extra credit if you can recommend him any good horror movies that he hasn't seen yet. I'd say its safe to say now that I've got that class pretty much covered.:thepirate |

I'd also like to add one movie to the list that no one has mentioned.
"The Changeling" its like early 80s or late 70s or something, it wasn't super scary except for a few pop outs (that were pretty freaky), but its really ed up so if thats your thing check it out. |
