4 Strings has about as much of an edge as an apple! (and yes, I have heard that particular song, many many times, possibly more than you in fact)

check out the 2003/2004 listings

Paul van Dyk? Since when does he play harder kinds of trance?!
I think you can classify our dearest Paul under just trance. And...everybody likes Paul's style... Although he plays to much boring tracks now.

And I dunno who posted 'Kira - I'll be your angel'....that's really dumb...

I recommend:

Green Court featuring Lina Rafn - Silent Heart (Flutlicht Remix)

No, that's not a typo. It's a perfect harder trance song.

Fantastic tune. Really love it... :D

Definitely worth checking out other stuff by Alphazone, Flutlicht and the like. Maybe some Marco V too if you feel like pushing the boundaries a little. :)

Naw bro, DuMonde will sound just right;)

Go for Dumonde VS Lange - Memory
DJ Marc Aurel - Running (Dumonde RMX)

Those will do fine.

Oops, forgot about Nu-NRG. Definitely check out some of their stuff. :)

I have it on vinyl too. The Instrumental isn't too bad, it is definitely more banging than some of their other songs, I wouldn't really say it is harder than other trance tracks though (eg Fictivision vs Phynn - Escape, Filterheadz - Yimanya), but thats just my opinion. I may also be coming from a different angle because I do have harder trance leanings.

Like I said though, thats just my opinion.

muhkuh
Slightly harder trance...mhhhhhhh....

Marcos - Cosmic String
The Age of Love - The Age of Love 2004 (Cosmic Gate Remix)
Emmanuel Top - Mars (Kai Tracid Mix)
Tracid vs. Kan Cold - Tracid Traxxx EP. Vol 1
Cosmic Gate - Ultra Curve
Nu-NRG - Aloa P
Tiesto - Adagio for Strings

i would consider it tech-trance which in turn i consider,'harder' trance than usual.AVB played it live at the end of his set at the matrix here in NI.BLEW the absolute roof off.probably the best moment in my clubbing experience :)
