This along with the first time I listened to Silence, Tiesto's energy 2000 set (first trance I set I ever listened to), and Pvd's rosenmontags rave 2002 set were defining moments in not only my musical endeavors but also in who I have become today. |

First time in an NYC club - first week of Sept, 2001, The Roxy. It was a college night, part of Columbia's Orientation week.
First time going to an NYC goth night - December 2001, Downtime/Albion Batcave.
First time going to an NYC trance night - Summer 2002, Victor Dinaire's Timeless Trance (was it called True to Trance?) Party at Remote Lounge.

Armin van Buuren at the Roxy, I think it was July 2002. I had been to Avalon in Boston a half-dozen times before hand, but as you all know, that closes at 2, so this was the first time I'd ever been out at the club all night. ;)
It was...interesting. I'm still not a huge fan of the Roxy, but that's another topic. :) |
