Has anyone have problems with this update?
I lose my USB Optical Mouse after I install the service pack. Basically I cannot move the courser around while the USB mouse is plugged in, but once I remove and plug in a regular mouse everything works fine.
Freakin annoying since Office 2003 won't work without a fully installed service pack.
Anyone have this problem? |

Never had any problems with SP2.
And I have an optical USB mouse too...
It's an MS mouse though... maybe SP2 secretly rejects all non MS products :p |

Thanks Orb,
I thought something was weird after I installed SP2. Went back to SP1 and hopefully they will address the bugs on SP2.
I sent an email with problems to MS, so they can document the error.
Oh well. |

| Reinstall the mouse drivers or try a rollback. |

| i think sp2 has some issues with USB devices. out of interest, what make is your mouse? the USB modem at work locked the computer up totally after installing sp2. more trouble than its worth IMO, uninstall it. |

It's a Dell from work. But my computer is home made.
I have read that SP2 has had some issues with USB devices and connectivity to USB ports.

Thanks mate, but I have no drivers for the mouse. It's a plug and play setup. Should have drivers for a USB connection unless it's major hardware. |
