Paris Hilton Booed At Music Debut
Paris Hilton's music career hasn't exactly got off to the best of starts.
The celebrity heiress and socialite, who broke into the limelight as the star in MTV reality show "The Simple Life", was debuting her debut single "Screwed" to an audience of Miami club goers.
She reportedly opened her performance by declaring, "I hate techno", before miming through the track - taken from her forthcoming album "Paris Is Burning".
Onlookers at the event claim the crowd were less than impressed with her performance, with many ignoring the star before heckling and booing the 23-year-old as she launched into cover versions of David Bowie's "Fame" and a Blondie classic.
Paris has struggled to get her singing career of the ground after launching her own label, Heiress Records.
Earlier this year Haylie Duff, sister of pop star Hilary Duff, claimed that she had already recorded her own version of the single "Screwed" and was trying to block Paris' release.
Paris Hilton has been working with rapper Lil' Jon on her new material, which she describes as "a combination of Blondie and Madonna with a little bit of hip-hop thrown in." |
